Be teachable
Keep it in mind that there is always something for you to learn. You know that the information on nutrition and fitness is constantly updated. In order to be updated, you need to do research and homework regularly. Look for someone in your area who has more experience than you and try to pick his/her brain. Try to know the facts based on:

·         How do they get new clients?
·         How do they design their fitness program?
·         What setbacks have they had?
·         How did they overcome with those setbacks?

Don’t set unrealistic fitness goals
As a personal trainer, it is important for you to be realistic for yourself and your clients too. You should never set unrealistic fitness goals for your clients that are very hard for them to attain. Always set the goals that are easy to achieve. Set another fitness goal when one is achieved by your client.

Be yourself
If you are fitness trainer at a gym, it is expected that there would be a mentor or senior. You should never try to be like him/her or copy him/her. Try to develop your own style and be a personal trainer of your own make. This can help you a lot in getting success in offering effective fitness training.
